Step by step
- For immediate danger call 911.
- For suspected abuse or neglect involving a person with intellectual disability, follow DDS’s current protocol: AID centralized intake receives all reports, with additional age- or setting-specific agencies when required; adults 60 or older also use DSS Protective Services for the Elderly.
- Separately notify the responsible program and pursue service correction, oversight, grievance, or appeal as applicable.
