Washington DVR student and youth transition services

Before you start

  • IEP or 504 plan, transition assessment, Summary of Performance, school-exit date, work experiences, employment goals, disability records, accommodations, communication needs, and current DVR or Pre-ETS status.

Use the official destination above, the assigned DDCS case manager, a DDCS office, the county Service and Information Request line, or the exact contact on the controlling Planned Action Notice. Ask which unit owns the step.

Step by step

  1. For an eligible student, connect with a transition consultant or counselor and complete the Pre-ETS approval form before a DVR eligibility decision when possible.
  2. If individualized VR services are needed, contact DVR and complete an application.
  3. Track Pre-ETS, DVR eligibility, Order-of-Selection category, waiting-list status, IPE, DDCS, and school actions separately.
