Review ECF CHOICES groups, eligibility, and services

Before you start

  • Diagnostic, developmental, cognitive, adaptive, school, medical, behavioral, daily-function, supervision, employment, community, and age-of-onset evidence.

Who to contact

Use the official TennCare, MCO, DDA regional intake, LTSS Help Desk, Beneficiary Support System, crisis, or protective-reporting route that owns this step.

Use Tennessee ECF CHOICES contacts and application help

Step by step

  1. Document an intellectual disability beginning before age 18 or another developmental disability beginning before age 22.
  2. Compare Groups 4 through 8 by age, living setting, need, level of care, and behavioral criteria.
  3. Ask the intake owner to name the exact group and missing evidence rather than accepting a generic eligibility answer.

Expected next

A request for evidence, named group screen, intake result, priority result, or written eligibility notice.

Save this proof

Evidence index, submissions, contacts, group screen, and notices.

If this stalls or the answer is no

Use the Beneficiary Support System for help clarifying the exact disputed or missing criterion.

Limits

Autism may support a developmental-disability record but does not by itself prove every ECF I/DD, functional, level-of-care, financial, group, priority, or enrollment criterion. Groups 4 through 8 are not interchangeable.

Beyond Childhood’s checklists and prompts are planning aids derived from official sources. They are not official forms, legal advice, eligibility decisions, or guarantees of funding, capacity, quality, or service.
