Follow up on a pending DDA application

Follow up on the DDA application already submitted: confirm receipt, missing records, and the next interview or decision step.

Review the DDA application process

Before you start

  • The application copy, submission date and delivery proof, acknowledgment letter if received, and any requests for supporting records.

Who to contact

Applicant or representative; DDA Regional Office or assigned Coordinator of Community Services

Find the Regional Office for your county

Step by step

  1. Check the acknowledgment letter for the received date. DDA says it should arrive in about 5–7 business days after submission; if it does not, call the Regional Office.
  2. Ask the Regional Office or assigned Coordinator of Community Services which supporting records or interview steps remain outstanding.
  3. Ask how to provide the outstanding items for the existing application before starting another application. Save the response and proof of any updates.
  4. When DDA issues its decision, keep the formal letter showing eligibility, priority, and reconsideration or appeal information.

Expected next

Confirmation of receipt and outstanding items, followed by the application interview and DDA determination as applicable. The 5–7 business days refers to acknowledgment, not a final decision.

Save this proof

Keep acknowledgment, delivery proof, document requests, interview details, and the eventual determination letter together.

If this stalls or the answer is no

Contact the Regional Office with the submission date and ask it to identify the outstanding step and who is handling it.

Limits

A pending application is not approval, funding, enrollment, or a service start. Follow the Regional Office’s instructions for missing or unreceived applications.

Beyond Childhood’s checklists and prompts are planning aids derived from the linked sources. They are not official forms, legal advice, eligibility decisions, or guarantees of funding, capacity, or service.
